Quiet, peaceful and
relaxing; so much to see and do within easy
distance from La Charpenterie, yet so
welcoming and relaxing to come home to.
M&R have made us most
welcome and have been very helpful in every
way, which made a good week; a great week..
Would love to return annually, if you were
not so far away.

We did not expect to be
sunbathing during the last week of October.
We will just have to return to take in all
the sites as well next time, but a perfect
location just to relax.

Another week in
paradise. We did not think that it could get
any better than last year, but we have been
proved wrong. Again, we have done so much
but still had time to relax.

Our second visit to La
Charpenterie and we have had a wonderful
week. The Loft is very comfortable and the
dishwasher most appreciated. All-in-all a
good break and we will certainly be retuning
next year.

have already told about La
Charpenterie also descend on you,

It has
been lovely to come back so soon after our
first visit at the end of May. Market at
Thouars and the Abbey at Fontevraud where
highlights this time. We hope to return and
introduce more of our family to this little
gem of a place to stay in the Loire. There
is still so much to see and do and, above
all, the atmosphere created by Margaret &
Rodger means we have relaxed so easily on
each visit.

Excellent
accommodation in The Loft with lots of
extras and the weather was fabulous. Well
worth the long journey, already planning a
return trip. A most enjoyable and relaxing
holiday.

Perfect
location, perfect weather, perfect hosts and
perfectly relaxing. We have had a lovely
week - only wished it was longer. Make the
most of the facilities here - the pool, the
hot tub and even the bikes featured on an
almost daily basis. We have had a truly
lovely week and hope to be back in the
future.

The
Bungalow is fab! not French at all - that
sounds awful but we have stayed in a number
of gites; I will say no more. We are
returning in September for a week and
hopefully look forward to many more holidays
to come at La Charpenterie

A
wonderfully relaxing holiday in lovely
surrounding our thanks to Margaret & Rodger
for making us feel truly welcome. A
highlight was visiting the Japanese garden,
we really recommend it. Enjoyed the wine
tasting. The walk through the vines in the
morning for bread was accompanied by the
song of the Skylark, we hope to return some
time in the future

quickly a week passes when one is ensconced
in the beautiful in a fantastic Pool House.
we truly relaxed between trips, particularly
loved the spectacular Oriental gardens. we
will always carry the memory of this place
and the people who make it wonderful -

We have
had a great fortnight here at The Loft,
 We have
really enjoyed cycling around the vineyards
and further afield. We also went canoeing on
the Thouet - great fun and very peaceful
paddling up the river. We indulged ourselves
with a flight from Saumur - sightseeing from
the air - a fantastic experience. (Click on

We are
going home thoroughly relaxed but are
certain that we will be back - this is a
fantastic place.

What a
great place to come for our honeymoon! We
have had a lovely relaxing week in fantastic
accommodation; we have mainly relaxed around
The Loft, enjoying the swimming pool and hot
tub. the BBQ and the bikes.
Thanks to
M & R for being the perfect hosts: very
helpful, but never intrusive - we really
enjoyed the Karting.

Weather

Just amazed how good the weather has been for March, so
surprised we were able to make use of the pool and
hot-tub. Really enjoyed sampling the local restaurants
and just wish we could get this quality of wine at
anything like this price in the UK.
We
will be back to re-stock and enjoy the facilities of
this superb Gite. It is the first time we have stayed in
a new-build house and really appreciated the bathroom
en-suite and the lack of musty smells, low beams
and. dark rooms

L'
Escargot was probably the best restaurant we visited
(twice), but for a real experience, excellent value and
traditional French atmosphere, lunch at Belle Caves in
Breze is not to be missed. We can hardly wait to return
to this paradise.

We would both like to
comment on our time we spent at The Loft, our first
impressions were favourable, the standard of the
accommodation was very high.
The location of the
whole complex was second to none and we had a very
relaxing time there. As for the weather, we
certainly could not complain about that, and T still
has a good tan!
We have travelled to
France many times and this was one of the best weeks
we have ever had. We will certainly be returning
next year and we have already recommended you to our
friends and colleagues.
